The latest Class 1A coaches' poll has Minnehaha Academy sitting at No. 1 heading into the regular season's final week. But the Redhawks surely have revenge on their mind following a 2-0 loss to the Spartans on Sept. 29.
Jonathan Karpenko is likely to lead the charge for Minnehaha (10-2-1, 7-1-1). The senior forward was shut out in the first meeting, but has been a scoring menace with 15 goals this season.
No. 7-1A St. Paul Academy had a rough go of it in September outside of its win against the Redhawks. The Spartans won just three games in the month.
