DeLaSalle at Mankato West
11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 30

DeLaSalle is 7-1 in its last eight games, rebounding from an 0-3 start and becoming one of the hottest teams in Class 1A. Its lone loss in that span came on a 3-0 decision against Visitation on Sept. 19.

The Islanders (7-4, 3-1) face No. 9-1A Holy Angels and No. 6-1A Mankato West this week, and will lean on Creighton recruit Ansley Atkinson, who leads DeLaSalle offensively. She has a pair of three-goal games this season.

Mankato West (8-0-3, 4-0-2) has cruised through most of the season but experienced a slight speed bump late last week in a 0-0 tie with Rochester Century.

The Scarlets got back to pressing the accelerator on Sept. 23 with a 3-0 victory over rival Mankato East thanks to two goals from Minnesota recruit McKenna Buisman, who surpassed 100 career points in Saturday's win.

She has 13 goals this season for the Scarlets, who finished second in Class 1A last season. Buisman is getting support from Ashley Gustavson (7 goals) and Katie Roberts (5 goals).
