Edina at Minnetonka
7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 26

Eva Hendrikson's goal with less than 12 minutes left salvaged a 1-1 draw for No. 4-2A Edina against No. 1-2A Wayzata on Sept. 23. The result has the Hornets and Trojans tied for first in the Lake Conference standings, and the Hornets will try to stay there against rival Minnetonka with a win on Tuesday.

Edina (7-1-3, 3-0-2) hasn’t lost since falling to Burnsville 3-1 on Aug. 23 and has allowed just one goal since. Loli Fidler has nine shutouts this season, including one against No. 2-2A Minneapolis Washburn on Sept. 18 -- a game that ended 0-0.

Minnetonka can spoil the Hornets’ quest for a conference championship with a victory. To do so, the Skippers (7-3-1, 2-2-1) can turn to Riley Brackin (4 goals, 5 assists) and Anna Erickson (5 goals, 4 assists) to provide offense against a stingy Edina defense.

Minnetonka features a stout defense as well, with Mari Ferrer-Lugo locking down opponents. Ferrer-Lugo, a defender who earned a second team all-state selection last season, has helped the Skippers post five shutouts this season.
