St. Paul Academy vs. Blake
7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 13

St. Paul Academy has steamrolled its way to a 4-1 start and outscored opponents 18-3 along the way. The No. 7-1A Spartans are going to have their hands full against top-ranked Blake, though. Freshman Olivia Lagos' hot start this season may help. She has eight goals in five games for the Spartans (4-1, 2-0), including back-to-back games with two goals.

Blake attained the No. 1 spot in the Class 1A rankings after beating previously No. 1-1A Benilde-St. Margaret’s in overtime on Aug. 31. The Bears (5-0-1, 2-0) haven’t looked back and can claim the top spot in the Independent Metro Athletic Conference with a win over the Spartans.

Maddie Tix, Sara McClanahan and Cate Moe already each have five goals on the season for Blake, which beat St. Agnes 5-0 on Sept. 9. Five different players scored in that game.
