Breck at Fridley
5:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 30

Fridley’s high-powered offense could meet its match when hosting defending Class 1A, Section 5 champion Breck, which enters the matchup with a dominant defense.

The Tigers (10-1) have pounced on opponents since a 4-0 loss to No. 13-1A St. Paul Como Park on Sept. 1, winning eight consecutive games while averaging nearly five goals per game.

The trio of Esteban Badillo (8 goals, 13 assists), Ivan Villalta (12 goals) and Shamake Nur (12 goals) have been the source of Fridley's recent success.

The back line for the No. 2-1A Mustangs (8-2-2) has been breached just three times this season. They are allowing a mere 0.58 goals per game and have nine shutouts through 12 games.
