Hermantown vs. Esko

Callie Hoff is having another sensational season with 14 goals for Hermantown, and she’ll lead the Hawks into the battle with Esko.

The Eskomos (5-5-1) have found themselves hard-luck losers in three one-goal games, including a 2-1 defeat to Hermantown. Esko even held No. 1-1A Benilde-St. Margaret’s scoreless in the first half, before eventually falling 2-0.

But Thursday's regular-season game may mean more come postseason, as these Class 1A, Section 7 rivals hoping to use this contest as a springboard for deeper runs in the playoffs. The Hawks have lost in last three section title games while the Eskomos have been bounced in the first round the last two years.
