Princeton vs. St. Francis
7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27

Two Mississippi 8 Conference power tangle Tuesday as Princeton meets St. Francis in a match that will help settle a logjam at the top of the league standings.

The conference title chase is a four-team race between the No. 6-1A Tigers (10-1, 3-1), Fighting Saints (7-3, 4-0), St. Michael-Albertville and Rogers with two weeks remaining.

A victory Tuesday could provide the separation one team needs as the season comes down to the wire.

Princeton knocked off St. Francis 3-0 last year en route to a second-place finish behind Roger in the conference standings. The Tigers went on to the Class 1A state tournament and finished fourth after a 3-2 loss to Mahtomedi.

Maggie Peterson, an all-state first team selection a season ago, leads an explosive Princeton offense with 12 goals while Alanna Mattson has nine and Larkin Walter has eight.
