East Ridge vs. Edina
5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1

East Ridge will try to close out the regular season like it started it: on a roll. The No. 4-2A Raptors posted a 5-1-1 mark to open the year, but they are in the midst of a 2-2 stretch that includes losses to crosstown rival Woodbury, which scored the game-winner in the final minute, and No. 3-2A Mounds View in a 3-2 game.

Edina started the year with an identical 5-1-1 mark and have gone 3-1 since and have only a 1-0 defeat to No. 12-2A Minnetonka sandwiched between wins.

The No. 7-2A Hornets finish the season with one of the state's most challenging schedules, starting with a game against No. 1-2A Wayzata on Tuesday. They face the Skippers on Thursday before hosting East Ridge. Edina also has two games with Hopkins and one with No. 2-2A Minneapolis Washburn to conclude the final week of the regular season.

East Ridge and Edina can also use Saturday's matchup as preparation for the postseason.
