Centennial vs. Andover
7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27

Since a 2-1 loss to Woodbury in the second game of the season, upstart Andover has rattled off 10 consecutive wins and amassed eight shutouts this season.

The Huskies (11-1, 9-0) find themselves atop of the Northwest Suburban Conference standings and come into the matchup with positive momentum after knocking off No. 3-1A Totino-Grace 2-0 last week.

Andover continues its quest for a conference crown with a week of home games against the three teams chasing it in the title race, beginning with No. 8-2A Centennial (8-0-2, 6-0-2) on Tuesday.

The Huskies play Robbinsdale Armstrong (8-1-2, 6-1-1) on Thursday and Maple Grove (8-0-2, 7-1-1) on Saturday, a stretch that likely settles which team wins the league.

Erin Becker’s phenomenal year -- a team-best 18 goals -- has been one reason for Andover's meteoric rise, but so has big contributions from Rebecka Musungu and Alli Jenkins, who each have nine goals.

On the other side, Centennial hasn't let the graduation all-state selections Nan Glinsek, Mikayla Iaquinto and goalkeeper Caitlyn Bangert keep it from humming along. The Cougars remain a top team because of Ashley Ebeling's 12 goals and 11 more from McKenna Gieske.
