Blake vs. Breck
7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22

The clash between Blake and Breck, two of the top teams in the Independent Metro Athletic Conference and longtime rivals, may very well decide which winds up with the league crown at the end of the season.

Breck (3-4-1, 1-1) lost last Saturday to No. 5-1A St. Paul Academy 2-0 in conference action, but can pull themselves back into the race with a win over No. 4-1A Blake.

It won't be easy for a Mustangs team still searching for a win over a ranked opponent this season after losing to No. 9-1A Holy Angels, No. 1-1A Benilde-St. Margaret’s, No. 6-1A Princeton and No. 5-1A St. Paul Academy.

The Bears (5-2-1, 2-0-1), meanwhile, are coming off a 3-2 loss to No. 2-1A Visitation and want to cement their position atop conference standings with a win over a dangerous conference opponent.

Ali Fine leads Blake with nine goals and five assists while Libby Franchot has five goals and an assist. Raye Gleekel and Callie Abraham each have four goals.
