East Ridge vs. Mounds View
7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20

East Ridge's offense has been inconsistent over its last five games, including in 1-0 losses to No. 4-2A Rosemount and Woodbury.

As a result, the Raptors slid from No. 2 and into a tie at No. 4 in the Class 2A rankings. The drop may have been further if not for a 0-0 tie with No. 9-2A Eagan and a 2-1 victory over No. 6-2A Stillwater.

East Ridge (6-2-1, 1-1) ended a two-game scoreless drought Saturday with a 6-0 win over Rochester Mayo and must continue its offensive output to defeat No. 3-2A Mounds View.

The Mustangs (8-1-1, 3-0) graduated eight seniors from last year’s team, but are still atop of the Suburban East Conference standings and rising in the rankings.

The defending league champions are scoring at a prodigious rate again this season with 35 goals in 10 games and have won their past four by a combined score of 19-1.

Mounds View still has to run the gauntlet with several conference games remaining, including Cretin-Derham Hall and No. 9-2A Stillwater.
