Minneapolis Washburn vs. Eagan
7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 19

Minneapolis Washburn remained unbeaten after a 3-1 win over No. 9-1A Holy Angels Saturday, but the No. 2-2A Millers (7-0-1, 3-0) face a stern road test against No. 9-2A Eagan.

Washburn was one of two teams to beat Eagan ast season, winning 4-1 behind goals from Marli RajacichLydia Ruppert, Kaityln Villars, and Niki Ryan.

Rajacich finished last year with five goals and five assists and should be a factor in this matchup. She scored in the victory over the Stars.

Eagan surrendered the top spot in last week's Class 2A rankings following a winless stretch that included a 2-1 loss to No. 4-2A Rosemount and a 0-0 draw against joint No. 4-2A East Ridge. The Wildcats also fell to a rising Eastview (4-0), a defeat that knocked Eagan into the bottom half of the South Suburban Conference standings.

The Wildcats (4-2-1, 1-2), however, bounced back with two blowout victories, including a 6-0 rout of Simley on Sept. 17 in which six different players scored.

Carly Czaplewski had two goals in a 5-1 against Apple Valley on Sept. 16.
