Minnetonka at Eastview
5 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 30

Minnetonka hasn’t come out on top of either of its first two games, but the Skippers remain a dangerous team not to be overlooked.

A lack of offense has stymied No. 7-2A Minnetonka, as it opened the season with a 1-0 loss to two-time defending Class 2A state champion Eagan and then recorded a 0-0 tie with Robbinsdale Armstrong.

The Skippers (0-1-1) will look to end the scoring drought against Eastview on Tuesday.

The Lightning, meanwhile, will try to bounce back from a 3-0 drubbing from No. 6-2A East Ridge and a 3-1 loss to White Bear Lake.

Eastview’s Molly Beckman, a St. Cloud State recruit, can cause fits for defenses while midfielder and Minnesota-Duluth recruit Haley Ford is adept at facilitate the offense. Both were all-South Suburban Conference honorable mention selections last season.
