Heritage Christian Academy at Centennial
7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 30

Heritage Christian Academy was swept by No. 1-2A Kenyon-Wanamingo in last Saturday’s Side Out Classic, however, the No. 4-1A Eagles kept the match close, losing two of the three sets by a total of four points, including a marathon 32-30 defeat in the third.

Despite the early stumble, Heritage Christian is primed for another run to the state tournament with 6-foot-3 senior middle hitter Bella Lien (385 kills, 114 blocks) returning. Lien was an all-Minnesota Christian Athletic Association selection last season and has committed to North Dakota State.

Centennial also returns the bulk of last season's lineup, which includes 10 letter-inners from a team that finished with an 18-11 record.

Among those returning are two seniors and all-Northwest Suburban Conference picks in libero Jeni Farmerie (443 digs) and outside hitter Olivia Jensen (267 kills). Senior outside hitter Erin Lime (178 kills, 154 digs) is also back, bringing depth to the Cougars' frontline.
