Champlin Park at Prior Lake
7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 31

Champlin Park looked as good as advertised in a straight-set win over Minnetonka in the season opener at the Side Out Classic on Saturday. The No. 4-3A Rebels cruised past the Skippers 25-15, 25-18, 25-21, with senior outside hitter Sydney Hilley posting a game-high 16 kills and sophomore outside hitter Emma Schmidt recording 10.

Prior Lake has not lost a set in its first two matches of the year, and the No. 2-3A Lakers looks every bit the team that took state champion Eagan to five sets in last year’s title game.

Junior middle hitter and Michigan commit Kayla Bair has 23 kills in two games while senior setter Ellie Veldman has 47 assists.
