Eagan’s 1-0 loss to No. 7-2A Eastview on Sept. 29 gave opponents pause. The defeat snapped a 32-game unbeaten streak for the No. 3-2A Wildcats. It also put No. 1-2A Lakeville North in the driver’s seat for the South Suburban Conference title.

Minneapolis Washburn has rattled off five consecutive shutout victories. 

Maya Rajacich scored three goals in a 5-0 win over Minneapolis South on Oct. 1. The No. 9-2A Millers (8-3, 4-0) also earned a 4-0 win over No. 8-2A Burnsville and a 1-0 victory over No. 4-1A Holy Angels during the winning streak.

Rajacich leads Minneapolis Washburn with 12 goals and Lydia Ruppert has seven. Goalkeeper Taylor Cottew has given up just five goals this season.
