St. Francis at Princeton

Princeton has rolled through much of the season but should be tested against St. Francis.

The Fighting Saints (11-1-0, 5-0) lead the Mississippi 8 Conference while the Tigers (10-2, 4-1) sit in third place after a 3-0 loss to Rogers on Sept. 15.

Princeton recorded a big 3-1 win over Class 1A, Section 7 opponent Cloquet/Carlton on Sept. 26 with Samantha Donnay, Kara Schramel and Maggie Peterson scoring goals. The Tigers’ other loss came against Hill-Murray in a 1-0 game on Sept. 22.

Peterson, a junior, leads the team with nine goals and seven assists. Donnay, a freshman, has seven goals while four others have four goals.

Sophomore Alexis Lustoff has 13 goals for St. Francis, with four coming against North Branch in a 9-0 rout. Senior Mara Furrer has eight goals, including three against Big Lake in a 10-0 win. Junior Emily Hewitt has six goals and Sammie Zgutowicz has five.
