Crookston rallied to defeat rival East Grand Forks 2-1 on Sept. 24, its fourth of five consecutive wins and third straight one-goal victory.

Against the Green Wave, the Pirates trailed 1-0 after the first five minutes. But Bobby Tiedemann tied the game five minutes later and Ian Johnson scored the game-winner seven minutes into the second half.

Crookston has a big week with a game against West Ottertail United, a team that defeated the Pirates 6-0 on Sept. 12, two days before meeting Bemidji.

Parker Nicholls has six goals and Johnson has five for Crookston.

West Ottertail United leads the Lakes to Prairie Conference with a 4-0 record while averaging nearly eight goals a game and giving up just one goal. Crookston (8-1) and Bemidji (9-1-1) sit in second place with 5-1 marks.

Leo Spry leads the Lumberjacks with seven goals and two assists while Payton Christofferson has five goals and an assist.

Bemidji lost to West Ottertail United 3-0 but has gone 8-0-1 since.
