Alexandria at Sartell-St. Stephen
5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15

Alexandria (4-2) finds itself in the running for a Central Lakes Conference title with a 3-1 league mark, a record the Cardinals share with Sartell-St. Stephen (3-1-1, 3-1). Their game with the Sabres gives one team a chance to move into second place behind leader Brainerd (5-1, 5-0).

Alexandria comes into the game winners of three straight while Sartell-St. Stephen is looking to bounce back after a 3-2 home loss to Brainerd 3-2 on Sept. 10, the Sabres' first defeat of the season.

The Cardinals lost to the Lumberjacks 5-1 earlier in this season.

The teams split last season’s series, with Sartell-St. Stephen winning the first meeting 1-0 and Alexandria coming away with a 2-0 victory in the second.

Megan Sieben leads the Sabres with six goals and Laura Leonard has three.

Hayley Burns scored three times to help Alexandria erase a two-goal deficit and defeat St. Cloud Apollo 3-2. She also had two goals in a 3-0 win over East Grand Forks.

Karsen Granning and Kelsea Navratil scored in a 2-0 win over Fergus Falls, and McKenna Smith also has a goal on the year for the Cardinals.
