Roseville Area at Park of Cottage Grove
7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15

Park of Cottage Grove put together an impressive start to the season with a 6-0 mark before a 2-1 loss to No. 1-2A Eagan on Sept. 12.

The No. 9-2A Wolfpack are finding ways to score along with delivering nearly iron-clad defense. Park had only given up three goals while recording three shutouts in its first six games.

The Wolfpack (6-1) got their biggest test of the season Saturday against the Wildcats and showed they can compete. Eagan grabbed a 1-0 lead on a goal from Taylor Kenealy, but Park’s Carley Haus tied the score in the first half. Kenealy struck again in the second half with the game-winner.

Megan Palmquist and McKayla Kortus scored in a 2-0 win over St. Michael-Albertville, while Lindsey Stehr had two goals in a 3-0 win over Tartan. Ciara Gregory also had a goal in the victory over the Titans and notched two in a 3-1 overtime win against Forest Lake on Sept. 10. She leads the team with five goals while Maggie Hallock has three.

Roseville has already shown it’s a vastly different team from last season. The Raiders have three wins and played competitively in 2-0 losses to No. 9-2A Centennial and perennial power Woodbury.

Roseville will have to prove its mettle this week with games against the Wolfpack and No. 4-2A Mounds View.
