Wayzata at Eden Prairie
5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 17

Despite having several goal scorers, Wayzata got shut out by a defensive-minded Lakeville North squad 2-0 on Sept. 1 in Lakeville.

With four shutouts on the season, Eden Prairie has a similar approach to games as the No. 3-2A Panthers.

The No. 6-2A Eagles (4-1-1, 1-0-1) aren’t nearly as offensively explosive as the No. 5-2A Trojans (5-1-1, 2-0), scoring eight total goals. Eden Prairie, however, couldn't score against Chanhassen on Sept. 12 and lost 1-0, its first defeat of the season. The Eagles will try to rebound in their game against Bloomington Jefferson before hosting Wayzata.

Brianna Lupo has a team-high three goals and Kelly Kruse has two for Eden Prairie.

Morgan Turner has nine goals to lead the Trojans.

Wayzata won both meetings (2-1 and 2-0) with the Eagles last season.
