Park Center at Mounds View
11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 19

Park Center is off to blistering start and building its resume with wins over No. 3-1A Mankato West and No. 7-1A Totino-Grace. The Pirates only loss came against previously No. 1-2A Minnetonka in a 4-1 game.

Park Center (6-1) should get the type of test it needs with a road game at No. 3-2A Mounds View (5-0-1).

The No. 8-2A Pirates have shown an ability to win tight games, including knocking off Mankato West and Totino-Grace by identical 1-0 scores.

Alex Zolnosky scored twice and Gabriel Vasquez had a goal in a 5-1 win over Champlin Park on Sept. 10, and Park Center followed that win with a 3-2 victory at Anoka on Sept. 12.

The matchup serves as a big one for the Class 2A, Section 5 playoffs as both teams are vying for one of the top seeds.
