Edina at Benilde-St. Margaret's
7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15

Edina (5-1-1) has displayed excellent defense through the first seven games of the season, allowing just five goals. The No. 4-2A Hornets have also found ways to edge opponents in close games, including a 2-1 win over Prior Lake and a 1-0 win over Bloomington Jefferson.

Max Pardo tallied the game-winner against the Jaguars, while Thomas Cattelin had a goal and Josh Solomon scored on a penalty kick in overtime as Edina defeated St. Paul Academy 2-1.

Edina lost its first game of the season Saturday, falling to then-No. 1-2A-ranked Minnetonka 2-1.

Benilde-St. Margaret’s has jumped out to a 4-2 start with a similar stifling defense. The No. 6-1A Red Knights had given up just three goals in five games before a 5-1 loss at the Academy of Holy Angels on Sept. 12.

Benilde-St. Margaret's has wins over Chaska, Eden Prairie and No. 8-1A Orono.

Edina won last year’s meeting 4-0.
