Wayzata at Hopkins
1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12

Wayzata’s looked like one of the most explosive attacking teams in the state with 17 goals through its first five games. The No. 6-2A Trojans (3-1-1) recorded a 6-2 win over St. Paul Academy, a 4-0 win over St. Louis Park and a 5-1 win over Duluth East.

Wayzata’s Morgan Turner has been sensational with two hat tricks in the first two games and a goal against Duluth East. Lily Gilbertson has three goals while Marissa Kalkar and Addison Clark each have two. Emily Sullivan leads the team with four assists.

Hopkins finds itself outside the state rankings but that could change after a 3-0-1 start to the season, which includes a 1-1 tie with No. 1-1A Benilde-St. Margaret’s.

Isabelle Olson leads the Royals with three goals while Ashley Akin has two and Chance Douglass has one.
