Eden Prairie at Minnetonka
7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10

Another premier early season matchup takes place when No. 2-2A Eden Prairie meets Minnetonka, which received votes in the latest Class 2A coaches’ poll.

The Eagles (3-0) defeated Duluth East 2-0, Woodbury 1-0 and Minneapolis Southwest 3-0.

Brianna Lupo leads the team with two goals while Meghan Verkinderen, Naomi Rogge, Kellie Fuhs and Kelly Kruse each have a goal.

Eden Prairie has relied on strong defense for its three shutouts and the Eagles will be a tough matchup for the Skippers (2-0-1), who have just two goals on the season.

Paige Tuttle scored the game-winner in the second half of a 1-0 victory over Eastview, while Izabel Matchan's second-half goal sealed a 1-0 win over Robbinsdale Armstrong.

The Eagles beat Minnetonka 1-0 and 3-0 last season.
