Minnetonka at St. Louis Park
7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 3

Minnetonka left little doubt why it's ranked No. 1 in Class 2A after starting the season with a 5-1 rout of Eagan. Suad Suljic scored twice and had two assists while Sergio Rivas had two assists for the Skippers, who tallied four second-half goals to secure the win. Finn Histon also had two goals and Avery Weaver had one.

Minnetonka also defeated Park Center 4-1 last week

The Skippers, who went undefeated until the state tournament last year, face another quality opponent in St. Louis Park. The Orioles reached the Class 2A, Section 6 championship against Wayzata last year.

Miguel Ocampo and Alexander Gaitan-Gaitan scored for St. Louis Park in a 2-0 win over Robbinsdale Armstrong on Aug. 27. The Orioles also played well at Wayzata on Aug. 29. Anthony Brandel scored St. Louis Park's lone goal against the No. 3  Trojans as the game ended in 1-1 tie.

The Orioles face Hopkins Sept. 1 before the big meeting with Minnetonka.
