Elk River at St. Michael-Albertville

St. Michael-Albertville last met Elk River in the Class 2A, Section 8 semifinals last year. The Elks entered the matchup winners of five consecutive games, including a victory over Buffalo in the section quarterfinals. But it was the Knights who advanced with a 2-1 victory that help propel them to the section title.

St. Michael-Albertville also defeated Elk River 3-2 in overtime in their regular-season matchup.
