Belle Plaine at Sibley East
7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30

Don’t forget about Sibley East in the tough Minnesota River Conference. The Wolverines have won 14 consecutive matches since losing to Martin County West in the Mankato West Tournament final Sept. 6. The Wolverines have rarely been tested, dropping a total of four sets during their winning streak. All-Conference libero Shelby Voight and setter Karley Lind give Sibley East a great passing game and is the basis for the Wolverines success.

The road, however, gets bumpier against Belle Plaine, No. 6-2A.

The Tigers are 5-1 through six conference matches and sitting atop the league standings despite playing without sophomore Mariena Hayden. Belle Plaine’s big hitter missed the first month of the season with an injury but is expected back at practice by this week. Hayden isn’t scheduled to play until Oct. 6, meaning the Tigers will continuing leaning on other players to step forward until her return.
