Hopkins at Eden Prairie
5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 16

Hopkins and Eden Prairie may be standing in the shadows cast by Lake Conference leaders Minnetonka and Wayzata but the Royals and Eagles do shine bright.

Hopkins (6-1-2) is ranked No. 7 in Class 2A and coming off a week with two ties, one to Edina and the other to Wayzata. The Royals have a matchup with the Skippers on Thursday and can't overlook the Eagles.

Eden Prairie, No. 10-2A, is not the scoring machine that it could be with all the chances it gets. The Eagles (3-3-2) have scored more than one goal in only two games. The Eagles' defense gives the team a chance to win nearly every game -- Eden Prairie has allowed eight goals all season.
